While Howie has remained a constant force in show business for over 30 years, he has been thrust back in the spotlight as the host of what has become a national phenomenon "Deal or No Deal." The show has become an instant hit and is consistently one of the most watched programs each week. NBC has put the show on both Mondays and Fridays at 8:00 P.M. and the ratings continue to grow each week. The show allows contestants to have a chance of becoming an instant millionaire combining nothing more then instinct with luck.

Howie Mandel’s versatile career has encompassed virtually all aspects of the entertainment spectrum, including television, film and stage. From his work on the Emmy-Award winning “St. Elsewhere,” to the international (and also Emmy nominated) “Bobby’s World,” Howie has become a mainstay of the American comedy scene.

Howie started his career on a dare during a trip to Los Angeles in 1979. He was at the legendary Comedy Store on amateur night and Howie was coaxed by his friends to get up and try his luck. As fate would have it, there was a producer in the crowd who immediately hired him to appear on the comedy game-show “Make Me Laugh”. His appearance on the show led to talk show appearances, a stint as Diana Ross’ opening act and eventually to the television series, “St. Elsewhere,” where Howie spent six seasons as “Dr. Wayne Fiscus” on the award-winning NBC drama.

Howie’s Emmy Award-nominated animated children series, “Bobby’s World”, ran eight seasons on FOX and now appears in syndication six days a week in 65 countries. As the series’ creator and executive producer, Howie was closely involved in its writing, as well as providing the voice of Bobby, Bobby’s dad and other characters. Howie attributes the show’s success to drawing the story lines from real life.

Howie has done countless comedy specials both on cable and network television. He has also hosted his own syndicated talk show, The Howie Mandel Show," and continues to be a mainstay on the talk-show circuit. He frequently appears on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno performing his signature hidden-camera bits. He also is one of the first people that Regis calls to fill in for him when he takes a vacation from “Live with Regis and Kelly.” Howie also continues to perform as many as 200 concerts a year throughout the US and Canada.

Howie lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Terry, and their three children.

Derek Edwards’ hilarious ruminations on his Blunderful Life is a wildly entertaining comedic exposé by “a virtuoso at the peak of performance”. With a wit and will forged in Northern Canada, he guides us through the pivotal life moments we’re all confronted by in our 20s, 30s, 40s and on ... snapshots of the past and the world around us, skewed and imbued with a small town charm and tempered with an inimitable quirky perspective. Is it really wrong, he wonders, to extend a misspent youth that extra 30 years?

A 14-year vet of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and the only Canadian to win the prestigious Vail, Colorado, Invitational Comedy Competition, Edwards is universally considered to be among the top comics in the country. Certainly his peers think so, as evidenced by the fact that he’s a four-time nominee, and winner of Best Standup Comic - Canadian Comedy Awards, and by his Gemini nominations for Best Performance in a Comedy.

Clearly the critics agree: “5 STARS - the funniest man on earth” - Winnipeg Free Press

“4 STARS - the crowd howled” - Victoria Times Colonist

“still the funniest man in Canada” - Toronto Sun

“Edwards reigns as the King of Canadian comedy” - Charlottetown Guardian

“Derek Edwards is hysterical” - Calgary Sun

“Edwards takes stand-up to next stage” - Georgia Straight

“the epitome of timing & storytelling” - Halifax ChronicleHerald

“the comedian’s comedian” - London Free Press

It’s A Blunderful Life - common sense and an inspired sense of the ridiculous - a potent combination for a night of great laughs.

Founded in Quebec in 1971 by André Viens, Artistic and General Director, the Théâtre Sans Fil (Theatre without Strings) is a giant puppet company. More than 3 million people have attented their productions, most often performed in the native language of each country.

Initially inspired by the classical technique of Japanese Bunraku theatre, the Company successfully united it with original and modern set design, lighting, and music composed by musicians familiar with the art of puppetry.

Fantasy, poetry, make-believe and magic have always figured strongly in TSF’s texts, along with unusual and heroic characters. J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Ravel’s Bolero and The Child and the Enchantments, Henriette Major’s The Crown of Destiny and The Dream Catchers as well as the classic Hänsel and Gretel tale are some of the spectacular shows that have been created over the years and that cater to audiences of all ages.

Thus far, Théâtre Sans Fil has given more than 3000 performances and brought close to three million spectators from more than 20 countries and four continents into the fantastic and enchanted world of its productions. A “ Theatre Without Strings ”, Théâtre Sans Fil has now become a theatre without borders. The TSF undeniable contribution to the exportation of local artistic productions around the world has awarded the Company with a prestigious Tribute Prize from the RIDEAU, the Quebec association of artistic presenters in 1997.

In 2003, a strategic relocalisation promised new horizons for the Company. In fact, the TSF moves its production centre and offices to the Caserne Letourneux, a magnificient landmark building of Montreal heritage. Completely restaured, this new production and rehersal centre offers an inspiring historic setting for creation. With this new complex, the Théâtre Sans Fil now owns spacious, modern and functionnal spaces, true to the scale and image of its productions.

Canada's Rankin Family got their start singing and dancing in their hometown of Mabou, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Pianist/fiddler John Morris, guitarist/vocalist Jimmy, and singers Raylene, Carol Jean (aka Cookie), and Heather developed a unique blend of Celtic traditionalism and contemporary folk and pop, dominated by the effortless harmonies of the Rankin sisters. In 1989 the combo recorded and self-released its debut and traveled throughout Eastern Canada, promoting it with performances at folk festivals and the like. A year later they issued their second recording, “Fare Thee Well Love”. Uprooted followed in 1998. Recorded principally in Nashville, the album included country-tinged material as well as experiments with expanded instrumentation and spoken word. The Rankin Family ceased performing as a unit in September 1999.

A Reunion CD was released in January of 2007 and the family set out on a cross-Canada tour with niece Molly Rankin completing the lineup. It seemed as though no time had passed. The Rankin family played to sold out crowds and were welcomed back with standing ovations and amazing reviews.

The most recent CD, These are the Moments, new, fresh, uplifting and inspiring collection of songs. Lyrically and musically it stands as a brilliant body of work that quite coincidentally reflects the hope that is so desperately sought in these uncertain times. The four Rankins trade lead vocals on the CD, adding their signature harmonies throughout.

OVER 30 MILLION ALBUMS SOLD

WRITER OF 13 #1 SONGS

For over 20 years, Richard Marx has consistently and powerfully made his mark on the music industry. His debut single “Don’t Mean Nothing” and self-titled debut album kicked off his career as a solo artist in 1987 and went on to sell 3 million copies. His 1989 follow-up CD, “Repeat Offender,” became even more successful, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. From 1987 to 1990, he became the first male solo artist in history to have his first 7 singles reach the top 5 on Billboard’s singles chart, including the 1 hits “Hold On to the Nights,” “Satisfied” and the worldwide classic, “Right Here Waiting.” This feat remains unchallenged.

He was nominated for Grammy awards 3 times and received an American Music Award nomination for favorite male singer. In 1992, he was awarded Best Selling Adult Contemporary Artist at the Billboard Music awards, and received the International Song of the Year Award at the Australian Music awards for his song, “Hazard,” from his double platinum CD, “Rush Street.” 1994’s “Paid Vacation” CD also went platinum and featured the single, “Now and Forever” which not only went top 10 on the Billboard Pop Chart, but spent a nearly record breaking 13 weeks at #1 on the Billboard AC Chart. In addition to selling over 30 million records, and writing, as of 2009, thirteen #1 songs, he remained a fixture on pop and adult contemporary radio for years, even as he emerged as a top producer working with some of the biggest names in the music business. Among those artists, *NSYNC, Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Vince Gill, 98°, Luther Vandross, Kenny Rogers, Sarah Brightman, Lara Fabian, Sister Hazel, The Tubes and SHeDAISY. More recently, he has written and produced records for Daughtry, Leann Rimes, Katherine Jenkins, Travis Tritt, Emerson Drive, Natalie Cole, Keith Urban, Paulina Rubio, Kenny Loggins, Chris Botti, Michael Bolton, and actor Hugh Jackman.

As his career began in 1987, Richard immediately got involved with many charitable organizations. By donating the royalties from his 1987 hit single, “Should’ve Known Better,” he helped build a room at the NYU Medical Center where pediatric cancer patients can play while at the hospital. In 1989, he wrote and recorded the song “Children of the Night” about the plight of homeless children on the streets and donated all the song’s royalties to the Children of the Night Foundation, which houses and reforms street kids. To date, the song has raised over $500,000. Additionally, he has performed benefit concerts for many organizations, including the TJ Martell Foundation, Toys For Tots, Make A Wish Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Best Buddies, and the Special Olympics. In 2005, Richard and his band flew to Kitzingen, Germany to perform for US troops stationed there, and as of 2008, he hosts an annual event in Chicago for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The first event featured a concert by Richard and the legendary Kenny Rogers.

Perhaps closest to Richard’s heart is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, whom he aligned with in 2000. He organized what has become an annual benefit concert to raise funds for research to cure the disease. The multi act, all-star concerts have, thus far, raised over $3 million.

In February 2004, Richard won the Song of the Year Grammy for “Dance With My Father,” which he wrote with the late Luther Vandross. It was a big night for several reasons. “It was the award itself,” says Richard. “For me and more importantly for Luther. I was proud.”

2005’s “Better Life,” a song written by Richard and Keith Urban which was included in Keith’s last CD, the triple platinum “Be Here,” was the biggest hit single from the CD, spending 6 consecutive weeks at 1 on Billboard’s Country Singles chart.

In the summer of 2006, Richard was asked to join “Ringo Starr’s All-Star Band” for a North American tour of 22 cities. Richard played guitar in the band supporting Ringo and others, including Billy Squier, and performed his own hits at each show. Ringo and Richard recently co-wrote a song for Ringo’s upcoming CD in 2010.

In 2007, Keith Urban released another song co-written by Richard, “Everybody” from his “Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing” CD. The song went top 5 on the Country charts.

In 2008, Richard began touring with Vertical Horizon lead singer, Matt Scannell, as an acoustic duo. They released a CD, “Duo” on iTunes, and played shows throughout the US. They continue to do occasional shows together and are releasing a live CD in early 2010, followed by an electric rock record as a duo.

On September 22, 2009, Richard will release a new solo CD, “Emotional Remains.” The modern rock record, produced by Richard, features contributions by Matt Scannell, Jennifer Hanson and Kenny Loggins. Richard will be touring internationally to support the CD.

In 2008, singer/songwriter Mia Sheard launched what's become the annual Joni Mitchell night at Toronto's Hugh's Room. Mia rounded up some of her favourite singers and musicians to perform. The show sold out very quickly, indicating that there are large numbers of people pining to hear Joni's music performed live. They don't get that opportunity often, as the music is not easy to play, and, therefore is not often performed by other artists.

Mia's friends were up to the task. The 2008 show was such a success that Hugh's Room invited it back again this year. For 2009 CBC's Canada Live was on hand to record and broadcast. A sampling of songs from the March 7/09 performance can be listened to at www.myspace.com/jonitribute or listen to the entire concert on CBC’s Concerts on Demand.

The line-up features critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Mia Sheard and an all-star backing band including Kurt Swinghammer (guitar), Chris Gartner (bass), Joan Besen (keys) and Troy Feener (drums). Joining Mia on stage will be four of Toronto’s best musical performers. Past special guests have included Lori Cullen, Layah Jane, Kevin Fox, Valery Gore, David Celia, Sacha Williamson, Kurt Swinghammer, Snowblink and Dan Goldman.

“Mia Sheard could make the Tim Hortons jingle sound like an otherworldly invocation to the gods. The local singer-songwriter has a gift for phrasing and a great voice - it wraps itself like a boa constrictor around fragmented melodies, spanning an awesome range and squeezing out a shimmering beauty.” ~ NOW Magazine
