Shout It Out is a collection of finely crafted, R & B-flavored pop-rock, a homage to the music that inspired HANSON when they started out. The album produced and written exclusively by the band is augmented with special guests: Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbitt, who played on some of Motown’s greatest hits, and horn arranger Jerry Hey, who worked with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Earth, Wind and Fire and many more.

HANSON emotes such fresh energy on the new album that it’s easy to forget that this band has been around the block a few times. Multiple Grammy nominations (drummer Zac is the youngest nominated songwriter in history), years of headline shows everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl and world-records for the loudest concert audience in history.

While the new album draws inspiration from the past, HANSON is looking to an exciting new era for the band. Their insatiable desire to innovate with technology - seen in their plans to incorporate mobile live streaming video both onstage and off - is building an even stronger fan connection. They’re committed to their live concert experience, with special events like their sold out five-night stand in NYC featuring each of their albums performed in their entirety, culminating with the debut of Shout It Out live. HANSON has established a reputation as successful independent artists who are comfortable at charting their own path, standing at the crossroads of the analog and digital worlds, and offering fans the best of both.

She has released 11 highly-acclaimed albums; has had 17 Top Ten singles, including the concert favourites I Would Die for You, Could I Be Your Girl and Insensitive; and has won 8 Juno Awards.

She is the acclaimed author of If I Knew, Don’t You Think I’d Tell You?, I’ll Tell You One Damn Thing, and That’s All I Know! She is also the host of the popular national summer radio program, Being Jann broadcast by CBC-Radio and Sirius Satellite.

Uncover Me 2 is one of Jann Arden’s finest releases, and she is absolutely thrilled with every single note on it. “As far as my first cover record (the platinum-selling Uncover Me also released by Universal Music Canada),” this just blows it out of the water,” she exclaims. On Uncover Me 2, singing songs popularized by The Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, The Motels, The Smiths, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, The Everly Brothers, Doris Day, Benny Goodman, Peggy Lee, Lesley Gore, and Dorothy Moore, Jann performs with a forcefulness that makes you believe that she wrote the selections. There is one original song as well, Mr. McLennan.

“This is a much deeper record,” Jann continues “These are songs I loved while growing up, but I had some great suggestions from Bruce (Allen) and Bob (Rock). They brought songs to the table that I wouldn’t have considered in a million years. These are all songs that people can relate to. I hope people find a little bit of themselves listening to it. I hope they recall an old memory.”

On March 20th, 2012, Canada’s country gentleman will rest his guitar against a stool, bringing to a close his concert touring days.

It will be a bittersweet goodbye for Tommy Hunter as he celebrates his 75thbirthday in London Ontario on that date – the city where it all began 65 years ago when as a young boy of 9 he picked up his first guitar.

The final leg of what has been a two part final tour of Canada, will begin mid-February and cover Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, PEI and then move into Ontario before ending in London.

The first leg of Hunter’s tour, took place in the spring of this year, covering cities from British Columbia to Ontario. This last leg will bring to a close over 6 decades of entertaining fans.

Canada’s‘Travelin’ man came into our living room for 36 years – first on Country Hoedown and later on The Tommy Hunter Show. His endearing stage presence and familiar voice brings back a simpler place and time – when the family gathered around the television on Friday night to watch the Tommy Hunter show – a ritual that was well established and time honoured, regardless of what pocket of the country you lived in. Almost as popular as the music, was the reading at the close of the show – reflective and comforting –and for many, one not to be missed.

Fans will once again be able to hear favourites like “Daisy A Day”, “Man of 87”, “King of the Road”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “You Are My Sunshine” and of course his signature “Travelin’ Man”.

The stories, the music, the final bow from a man who has entertained us for six decades – a show not to be missed, but to be enjoyed and remembered.

Born in Tokyo of diplomat parents during a raging typhoon, Canadian soprano Natalie Choquette is a rather unique multilingual classical entertainer who presents opera with an irresistible humorous twist. Her show, “Whoever said opera was boring?”, has delighted audiences across the planet and won over many new opera fans.

Awarded many prizes (including an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Ottawa) for democratizing opera, Natalie Choquette loves to create and portray colorful zany divas (such as “La Fettucini from il Teatro Bolognese”) dressed in outrageous costumes, singing the most famous and beautiful opera arias while interacting with the audience, the musicians and even the Maestro!

No other first-class soprano in the world will be found impeccably singing Verdi while doing a head stand on a piano or rendering a tear-jearking interpretation of Puccini’s “Nessun dorma” while eating spaghetti and gargling with wine.

As well at ease at the Vienna Konzerthaus with the Vienna Symphonics or in cathedrals with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra as in arenas with the “Night of the Proms, at the “Just for Laughs Festival” in Montreal, with the Roncalli Circus in “Clowns in Concert” or in charming theatres with her pianist, this artist is an act in herself.

Her beautiful crystal-clear voice and unique sense of humor have touched many souls and uplifted many spirits around the world.

Her secret? Natalie Choquette just sings her love of people, life and music with all her heart.

‘They're on their way, to the city lights’ ... and, THE predominant Canadian Rock ‘n’ Roll band of the 1970s – The Stampeders – are bringing along all their classic hits: Wild Eyes, Carry Me, Oh My Lady, Devil You, Monday Morning Choo Choo, Minstrel Gypsy, Hit the Road Jack and, of course, the quintessential Canadian – and Hall of Fame – song, Sweet City Woman! A veritable soundtrack to a whole generation that will ‘carry you home’ ... maybe not to Birmingham ... but back to a time of tie-dyed t-shirts and elevator shoes, 15¢ coffee and homemade apple pie, dating and dreaming ... By the time The Stampeders get to the first chorus of the first song, everyone will be singing along.

No seventies group represented Canada's musical identity to the world like The Stampeders. A quick look at Canada's music scene from 1971 until 1976 confirms The Stampeders were truly the country's international musical ambassadors, touring more extensively in Canada and overseas than any other Canadian group during that time. In 1977 the trio: Rich Dodson (lead guitar), Kim Berly (drums) and Ronnie King (bass) parted company but reunited, fittingly at the Calgary Stampede, 15 years later in 1992. Since then they’ve been recognized by SOCAN for their Lifetime Achievement, been inducted into the SOCAN Songwriters Hall of Fame on five occasions and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame for their 1971 seminal hit Sweet City Woman. To mark the 40th anniversary of its release, The Stampeders recorded a 2-cd set, Live at the Mae Wilson, released in late 2010, and dedicated to all their loyal fans The enduring musical legacy of The Stampeders... 'better catch a noon train, better get there for a rock 'n' rolling good time!’

Gord Bamford is an international recording artist, Canadian country music superstar, and multi-award winning singer and songwriter. He picks guitar and pens songs with some of the best musical talent in the world. He is ever more selected to share the stage with an extraordinary list of artists including Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, and the legendary George Strait. Gord Bamford is living his childhood dream.

Gord grew up enjoying the rural life at Lacombe, Alberta, where his days were busy with school, sports and chores. Gord’s family recognized the need and importance of community opportunities in the social and personal development of their children. Gord and his sisters became engaged in a variety of community organizations and activities where their experiences yielded a sense of belonging and purpose. One of the most profound for Gord was 4-H.

Like most kids, Gord could not foresee the impact that 4-H values and vision would have on his life. He was merely having fun with friends. Yet, underlying the fun, Gord was learning invaluable life lessons – responsibility and leadership, preservation of country life, and service to community. Little did he know those 4-H values would lead him down a path of remarkable success and an even deeper sense of worldly purpose.

It is no wonder that there is another dream Gord is beginning to fulfil – the dream of building communities and helping kids. Like many successful artists, Gord wants to ‘give back’. Unlike many, Gord is pursuing that dream with resolve, commitment, and true ambition. In 2008, he established the Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation. In two short years of fundraising, Gord’s team has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars. The Foundation’s proceeds are distributed to youth serving organizations. The mission of the Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation is: To offer under-privileged youth and single parent families in Canada an equal opportunity in life by providing monies to support education, health care, and music.

Riverdance is a theatrical show consisting of traditional Irish stepdancing, notable for its rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary. It originated as an interval performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, a moment that is still considered a significant watershed in Irish culture. Riverdance is, in essence, the story of the Irish culture and of the Irish immigration to America.

Riverdance continues to be performed all over the world, in a diminished format and in smaller venues. Current productions are geared towards smaller theatres, whereas past productions have been performed in large theatres and arenas. Sets have therefore been simplified and some numbers contain fewer performers than in past productions (such as those seen on the Live from Radio City and Live from Arena Geneva DVDs). For example, current touring productions of the show have 20 dancers in the finale, "Heartland", whereas 24 were used in the original Dublin show and 32 were used in the arena shows. Each production company is named after an Irish river. Currently performing companies are the Boyne touring in North America, Corrib in Europe and Foyle in Ireland.
